Golda Meir (May 3, 1898 - December 8, 1978) was Israel's fourth prime minister between March 1969 and June 1974. As Prime Minister, she led Israel during the War of Attrition and the Yom Kippur War. Golda Meir is the first and only woman to serve as prime minister in Israel.
